The mission of “Hearts of Change” is to help women recovering from
substance abuse with the hope and healing found through the knowledge of Jesus Christ, using the Bible as our foundation.


 

Why Hearts of Change Ministry is Needed

Every day the lives of women and children are torn apart by the ravages of substance abuse. Researchers tell us that 15 million American girls and women use illegal drugs, and another six million more are alcohol abusers and/or alcoholics. Experts tell us that a mere 8% of these women are receiving help of any kind. That means that 92% of women who struggle with substance abuse are all on their own. Imagine that! It means that all over the country, all over your state, all over your county and your cities and towns there are women in crisis desperately in need of help, but there is no one there offering it. They are locked in a desperate fight that dooms them to a life of poverty, abusive relationships and premature death. To make matters worse their children and their children’s children are destined to repeat the cycle of substance abuse over and over and over again … unless someone reaches out to help them. These women … some of whom are your neighbors, your friends, your children, your mothers and your grandmothers are the reason that Hearts of Change exists.

Why do we use the Bible? Because we believe that the Bible is God’s Holy Word and is sufficient to help us meet any and every problem we face in life, it will be our sole reference for living.
